Container Pop-up Library: Mandela day 2019
On the day of Mandela day , Absolute Containers wanted to do things a little different. The morning started out like any other, but there was something significant about today, you could tell by the infectious enthusiasm and energy spread by the employees. The mid-morning kicked off on a good note as everyone gathered to sing our national anthem, along with some team photos
Thereafter a few of or our employees went to Fourways Crossing to meet up with Shevani Maharaj from Mustard Seed who first approached us with the idea of the pop-up library.
Absolute Containers was very excited to be part of the pop-up library project. We would like to say thank you to Shevani and the Fourways Crossing Group for the dedication shown towards providing educational books to children.
The pop-up library was well received by Witkoppen Primary School. We were welcomed with excited cheers from school children and teachers, that brought tears of joy to our team. Once the container had safely been positioned the children all rushed to investigate what hidden surprise was stored inside. We would also like to thank Jacobs Transport for assisting with the delivery of the container on Mandela Day.
We encourage everyone to celebrate Mandela Day, as this is great way of remembering that there is greatness in every one of us, we too have the power to bring about change and that no contribution is too small.
We look forward to 2020!!!
